Every student can use financial assistance toward their education. Many scholarships are started as a memorial toward a fellow student or loved one. You can make a one-time gift for send an amount annually.
Some donors choose to be involved in the scholarship selection process or defer that to the College Scholarship committee. The criteria for the selection of a scholarship recipient can be very well defined or it can be unrestricted.
In addition to memorials, assets such as life insurance policies proceeds, grain, donations of equipment, land, bank certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. are examples of gifts that work well for the scholarship program.
The Area Board of Control has created a matching program for retired faculty and staff, retired board members, and others that offers $1 from the college endowment fund to match the $1 contributed by an individual toward a scholarship fund at Northwest Kansas Technical College.
Should you wish to endow a particular department program of study and or offer the scholarship to residents of specific counties; the Scholarship Committee will accommodate all requests.
