The Ambassador Leaders will be selected through an application and interview process. They will be outstanding students who will promote NWKTC, serve as the leaders for the Ambassador Club, and assist the admission staff every week for a minimum of three hours after their regular day of class. Selected leaders receive a $500 scholarship. Ambassador Club Each department selects two students to represent them as an ambassador. This student will give tours and explain their department to prospective students. The club meets once a month and the club members may help with various admission events. Departmental Clubs Students in each program form a departmental club to help plan activities, fundraisers, social events, and organize various student functions. A president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer are elected and hold meetings on a regular basis. Departmental clubs have been involved in hosting guest speakers, community service events, submitting articles for magazine publication, raising money for scholarships and job search activities. Funds raised by departmental clubs should be used on activities that benefit the club or college. Yearbook Club Students meet twice a month to help with the college yearbook, Tradewinds. This gives students an opportunity to help record a year of history at Northwest Kansas Technical College. |
